Q: Why did you make this person an FLM if you think they're a good candidate for ISP?
A: Nepotism got them there, then their manager leaves, new manager realizes the person is not a good FLM.
No. I have seen 2 FLMs get ISPed in my time with Intel.
It is, however, a difficult topic to broach because there's now the question to answer: "why did you make this person an FLM if you think they're a good candidate for ISP?"
Yes. I mean no... well, I guess it kind of depends. So, maybe? or Maybe not?
Why? Do you think you work harder than the people who report to you. GTFOH!
The whole talk about managers and VPs being impacted at same rates was always bullsh-t. Management that makes all the decisions that have effed us are always protected and never held accountable.
Probably? I mean it’s widely known first and second line do effectively nothing, they’d already be gone if they didn’t need placeholders for their org pyramids.
In my org I expect 0 FLMs to get laid off.
Your totally backwards. The safest position is in the FAB flipping wafers for a living.
Safer than ICs. The level of protection increases the further up the chain you are.
