Over cut inventory

Heard that PG & gang was too successful in cutting down the inventory. Now it's overshot and starting to have stock out situation. Now panicking and asking plants to load up inventory. Such short term leaders that we have here!

Saw the recent announcement of removal of default Air shipment has caused a lot of unhappiness to the business folks. The organization now is looking at their own KPI for each functionx instead of whats good for business growth. Running in Silo. Total failure!

I totally agree with the person who asks for 10% of WFH employees salary, this makes sense but would never go through, the worker bees are in for a terrible year with cuts all over worldwide plants just because inventory adjustment will take another six months to sort out and by that time, more orders will be lost, EO and PG in particular, should be hounded hourly about the complete gash of a job they are doing, now its all hands to the pumps and brainless process engineers will BS the plants with waste value adjustsments that many process operators know are just pie in the sky,

Yep, happens every time. 3M can either have inventory on the oceans, COGS paying for air freight, or just giving up on sales. One of the three must happen.

The latest direction now is Air freight control. All default AIT shipments will be cancelled and re approved by SVP/VP individually.

Inventory or COGS- air ship ? Please make up your mind.

Sad but true. I’ve been gone for a couple of years, and some things are now crystal clear in hindsight.

3M is a horrible place to work. It just is.

Leadership at many levels is made up of self-promoting silver-tongued suits selling strategies that are not based in reality or delivering positive long-term operational results.

Experience and capabilities have been discarded in exchange for lower operational costs, a guaranteed long term strategy for loss.

These mo--ns would routinely bounce between forced overtime and forced vacation, jerking people around with schedule changes and leading our best operators to go get better jobs elsewhere. Then they layoff a bunch of operators and engineers only to try to hire them back 9 months later. I had never seen anything like it in previous employment or in subsequent jobs. Just total amateur hour. This is not how a grown-up company is run.

very true, what kind of muppets are in charge, we thought it was localized but the inventory problem is worldwide, these clowns are making fortunes in salary and can't do their jobs right.More layoffs to follow as BB gets Titanic ready to sail in 2025
