Yeah they should,this is crazy 250$ dollars. Is there anywhere that we can petition or a survey, so we can ask for this to be added.

Well, let's think about this.
Take the amount paid for union dues and multiply it by 33,000. That's the amount the union receives per month.
Not only can the strike pay be tripled, that's enough to fund a healthy pension.
Oh wait. The Union leadership would have to give up the nice house, cars, tickets to all the events, vacations, basically living a lifestyle triple what the hard working union members live.
