Why do Hr and management think the way to do a mass layoff without anyone knowing what is going on is to slowly going around group by group and telling folks they are part of the plan going forward or not? That's a mass layoff. It's just in a more subtle, yet condescending way.

Come Jan, many of us will be without a job but the company did provide a nice severance package and plenty of time to look for another job. Unfortunately this is what we all feared many of us will be looking for similar jobs and will probably have to move. I guess thats what you get when working in this industry. May be time to get out and find something more stable.
