Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

CEO and cronies are throwing Walgreens to the dogs

Under Roz Brewer Walgreens stock went down by 50% in two and a half years. What about the current leadership? They took the stock down by 70% in only 9 months this year!!! What an incompetent bunch. Why are they still around???????

I feel bad for Neal. Such a smart and kind person, how you guys speak about him! Instead of helping him, what you do is not fair, is not nice! Why are you trying to hurt people! At the end, work is work! You have family and many things to be proud and be happy! Hurting each other is not nice! Think about your comments before you send them. If you are at Walgreens, do your best to make it successful, if you think is not a good fit for you, leave here and definitely there are many opportunities that are match with your desires. If you left here or you were laid off, focus on new opportunities, there are tons, and it is not end of the world! Be kind with each other! Please think before you write any comments here!

Look at the results..... What leaders Walgreens has.

Walgreens stock has dropped 66% this year alone, even as the S&P 500 has gained 23%.

Tim and Neal didn't accomplish anything here; the only thing they were good at was bringing their close friends. Neal used Hsiao as an excuse, and Tim did the same with Roz. Have you ever considered how much we're suffering financially? They bring their friends as EVPs and SVPs. These friends come here, stay for two years, make money, and then leave. Unfortunately, after two years, there might not be a Walgreens anymore because they've already done significant damage. Leave as soon as possible; they want you to leave too.

Wall Street has no confidence in the current leadership team. Big stock price drop this year is evidence.

And several Wall Street investment firms have lowered their price targets for the stock. Not good. If the third quarter numbers are bad, who knows what’s next.

Tim may be earnest but the cast around him is terrible. Neal is busy partying with his friends wasting company money.

Tim Wentworth was supposed to be the company's saving grace and I believe he is earnest in his efforts but so much damage was done by Wasson (destroyed employee morale with all the cost cutting) and Brewer (had no clue about the pharmacy business), a turnaround may not happen. Employees hate working for Walgreens and our ability to meet customers needs and expectations is only getting worse. Not a bright outlook.

This leadership team is destroying the company faster than Roz ever did.

Roz "broke the wheel" and yes this current team is worthless. Let's be real, here though, Roz and her leadership team, decisions, and complete lack of strategy (that worked) failed this company and put it on a course that may never be reversible. She should never be allowed to lead another organization.
