Thank God the actual company is no longer public and is dead. The products still will be used for decades; I dont blame the products. Spent some time there years ago, in dev. Absolutely horrid. The arrogance that some people carried....it makes me laugh today....they all thought their brash, we are the best of the best, condescending attitude and overall air of entitlement would continue. I think all the people from my team left. It's sad cause it was usually people who only knew the business side of it (sales mgmt, cust success, sales execs, some of the people who were "strategic" and many VP's and SVP's), they created that mess that destroyed them from the inside out. Splunk was hands down the worst company culture I ever worked at....and I hope that the people that created it just move on into the oblivion...that type of attitude is never wanted in tech. We can win without being a-holes.

I came to Cisco through an acquisition. I'm here to tell you, you don't want to stay. They treat employees badly. They lay off GREAT talent every 6 mos with aggressive lay offs. Benefits are dwindling. There is no vision or strategy. Too many VPs and Directors with no reports. Cisco has changed for the worse over the past 3 years.

I was let go in a LR and I'm happier and paid more. This is the whisper "get out".

Not surprising at all. We bought splunk years back when it was the first on the shelf. The sales and mgmt were atrocious. Product was ok. Lot of SPL that we had to build out but lots that came out of the box. We didn’t use 70% of it for what we intended and have since moved on from it to sentinel/defender.
