How about trusting yourself as opposed to some notional concept?

Honestly stop worrying about it. Nothing is secure in this world. Put your trust in Jesus Christ only and not in your employer.
Wonder what the layoff impact (if any) will be for the WalkMe acquisition.
Just make sure you are prepared to find another job. If not, you will be in trouble eventually. Get skilled up. Times have changed.

So did I, dum--ss. But the truth is, you can't really predict this stuff. So you may "think" you know, but you really don't know for sure.
November 1 ? what's going to happen , please add some more details
November 1. Beware.

3 concrete things in life. Death, taxes, and layoffs.
@woz+1uUXv3ap
The truth is, you really don't know this for sure.
Think about this. How often do you ask yourself this question? Are you really going to have peace of mind if you survive the next round of layoffs? What about the next round?
Is this the life you want for yourself?
I would encourage you to set things up so that you're not constantly worried about losing your job. Use this to motivate you to learn, apply out, or whatever you need to do.
I know for a fact that SAP leadership is all talk and that no good thing they say about themselves is authentic. They say only what they need to say to promote a positive public image. Each of us are nothing more than a number that they move around to protect their positions.
Nothing Concrete,,, just flimsy cardboard info.... but good money has it that at sometime in the future, more layoffs will be coming... bank on it.
If in NA, it is a given that layoffs will occur. There is no need to wait for an official announcement to prepare for this “possibility”.
@ouy+1uUXv3ap - be careful. Remember they will only honor enhanced VERP payout through 12/31/2024.
If you passed up an earlier (e.g. 4/30/2024) VERP offer and they lay you off after 12/31/2024, they will only pay “standard severance”, not a VERP.
Good luck.
If you have been here over ten years wait it out. Will be decent payout if it does happen. Then make the jump to something interesting.
Look out for yourself, start looking for a higher paying job. Don't wait for HR to tell you your time is up.
There are so many rumors, but so little actual info.
