Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Union is d-mb

They really said
"Boeing refused to propose wage increases and other improvements in the latest round of talks."

They gave 30%, increase match on 401k, brought back the amp. Increased signing bonus. And now that offer that we cant vote on is gone.

John is going to ruin it for all union workers. Give us some transparency john, what did you propose to boeing or are you still demanding pension and 40% gwi.

Thats not negotiating in good faith.

The survey is not a vote, i bet most union workers didnt participate. Show us the numbers for the survey. Bc a few thousand that participate in the survey should not represent the voice of 32,000

I'm all for the union members getting as much as financially possible from the company, but when it comes to the topic of pensions, time for the union to get their heads out of their backside. That's why 401Ks were created. Seems like Boeing has put forward an extremely generous offer concerning it. The longer this strike continues, the worse it's going to get eventually for both sides.

We are in bad shape. When two criminal organizations fight ya better clear the streets. Innocent lives will be the only loss. Heads up!

"My pension" sounds like you got an entitlement issue. No one owe you sp-t in this world. You already gave up your pension. Pensions arent even common anymore. Get with the time.

This is not a hill im willing to die for.

Youre not going to live long after you retire anyways, after huffing mpk for all those years

Lets get back to work and provide for our family

The port strikers started their NEGOTIATION at 77%

and they got 62%, not 50%

The IAM has started at 40% and not moved.

Im not going back to work for less than the 40%, and my pension. The port strikers got 50% we deserve 40% plus pensions back. Stand firm people.

demand (noun)
an insistent and peremptory request, made as if by right.

negotiation (noun)
discussion aimed at reaching an agreement

The Union has demanded 40% GWI and return of pensions

The company offered 25% GWI and no bonus, union 401k
The company then offered 30% GWI, added the bonus back, and an 8% Boeing 401k match with a 4% additional company contribution.

The company has INCREASED their offer in negotiations.
The union has DEMANDED the same thing over and over with no movement.

The company is negotiating, the union is not. See definitions above.

All of the past transgressions the union blames on the company, the company cannot make the union do anything, it can't force anything on them.

Every single thing that the union has complained about from the past has either been voted on or accepted by the unions duely elected leadership.

So when looking for who to blame, look in the mirror.

When dealing with a major conflict like this the only solution is coming up with a "Win Win" outcome.
Meaning, neither the Union nor Company get 100% of what they want.
