Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Why does Lowe's reward bad behavior and punish hard work?

All the time I see hard-working, responsible employees get their hours cut, laid off or thrown under the bus. At the same time, those who slack off, gossip, and treat customers poorly seem to somehow get a free pass. Why is it that the more you give, the less protected you are?

Weak management and there are a few reasons.
The feeling of strong workers being targeted is because the strong workers, though most of the time Lowe's is not what they want to do, they are typically not unhappy overall as opposed to the bad workers who don't care and who also don't care if they get into trouble. Strong workers care and don't like being the underdog persay.
Second, a lot of managers nowadays lack the ability to deal with bad workers. They either don't know how or just some give up because they think it's a waste of time or exhausting.
The other part is just pure laziness. If you notice nowadays, a lot of management wait until the very last second to accomplish anything. This includes everything from tasking, basic maintenance of the store and training. They always act as if there is too much to do and fail to understand that if structure was implemented and held to a high standard every single day, the little things like bad employees would take care of itself.
The majority of management only think in the now and have no plan nor do they think of anything for the future. It's why the stores seem so chaotic all the time.

I’m so few words that is called “poor management”. They light up the people that get the majority of things done…. On the flip side they do not hold under performers accountable. I witnessed it for 3 decades and it will never change. I’m much happier and healthier now that I’m gone from that toxic environment.

And because, if you are a more reliable worker, you probably make more…and when they need to cut costs—you’re the one that gets targeted.

Because management is afraid these so called slackers may claim discrimination or harassment, thus jeopardizing their own jobs!
