Larry C. It's time to give back.
No excuses this time GE.

16% raise will be sufficient, but we need it all “upfront” !!!
They are giving you back what you already lost years ago .
You will be served a sh_t sandwich as usual. Our two Unions are weak at best. Our reps are company hired buddies.

With all the big money aerospace is going to be making I think the only logical thing for all would be some profit sharing like our brothers and sisters at Ford share in.
We need a pension. This 401K is not working out so well.
Frozen pay for all hourly employees.
All that Money, hold it in your hand, Money to burn…
With the influx of government money and all our lean savings we should get the best contract ever.

We are doing so well that they will create a problem before contract. Then solve it after the yes votes are in. Classic GE.

To answer your question it will be a lot worse than we have now. Why? I think because people are financially uneducated these days and have a very hard time with basic arithmetic. Living in the moment and not thinking of the future.
Well if the international uaw from Detroit come down and fight like they do for the auto workers we may have something, but I feel they just want the aerospace workers dues money. I have no faith, the company knows how to bargain to get that 51% yes vote.
"Our great union will tell us on the first contract offer that this is the best they can do. We will then vote yes. Then the officials won't do anything but F-off until the next one."
Well said...This is exactly what happens every time
Our great union will tell us on the first contract offer that this is the best they can do. We will then vote yes. Then the officials won't do anything but F-off until the next one.
Since we have article saying such great things about us we deserve the best contract ever with a cherry on top.
Whatever the union heads say is good we always vote for. We are sheep
It's going to go just like all the other conttracts....duh. We will get what we get

Plus a withdrawal of two payed vacation days for three unpayed. It sounds like a win to me. Vote yes before the first offer😁
Increase on insurance, 401k stays the same, no raise, overtime after 40 hrs worked, eliminating double time, and a $1200 signing bonus divided into 2 accelerated cash payments.
Someday when we all relearn real math we will acknowledge our true loss over the last 30 years.
Just a little worse than the last one and the one before that and the one before that etc.
I hope there’s a huge signing bonus because I am retiring the end of next year.
Some more take aways as usual. I love giving my benefits and money up every contract. The great race to the bottom is my only dream.
