Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Citi monitoring this site, I hope so.

I really do hope that Citi is monitoring this site. I don’t believe it’d change anything but at least they’d realize that their employees are not stupid or blind.

Being vocal and voicing your honest opinion comes down to money. If money (your paycheck) was not a concern, everyone would be more open and honest about feedback or voicing concerns. This is what Citi relies on, your desperation. This in itself tells you a lot about the company.

I personally think that Citi does monitor this site but does so with pride. I think they use this site as a tool to run off employees which is cheaper than paying out severance.

True about the PotLuck lunches. That's a good idea about the brownies and cakes, though. Maybe I'll do bring those in. LOL! The Potluck lunches reminds me of the losers when I was in University, who threw BYOA or BYOB (Bring Your Own Alc0hol or Be3r) "parties". Guess what??! Either No one showed up or the people who showed up left after a few minutes.

Yes, Citi does have potluck lunches where the employees spend their own money to cook up enough food to bring into work to feed the masses while management tries to manipulate it to where they try to sell you that they are doing you a favor in orchestrating this. Its expected that you are to buy into this.

Its this sort of thinking that permeates the business on many levels.

Not only does Citi pay Dog Food Sh!T Peanuts salaries and bonuses but we're expected to participate in Fake lunches get-togethers including Pot Luck Lunches! LOL!
It's bad enough we're expected to act like we're friends and have camaraderie, but Citi will Not even pay for a real free lunch and expects employees to carry & lug into the office Employee-paid food!!! Every few weeks Citi sends !d!otic Out-Of-Touch Br@!n De@d Pot Luck Lunch emails.
This is a slap in the face insulting joke. I refuse to carry into the office and buy Citi free food paid for with my own Dog Sh!T Salary.

Citi thinks no more of their employees than a piece of furniture. The name of the game is for management to shore up their power base for empire building. Shuffle some ppt slide decks around, fill up their calendar with mostly non-needed meetings, send out some company wide emails making sure to use all the latest buzz words so you can to sound like you have vision. The pawns to be used, worked, manipulated, lied to and discarded at will ultimately mean nothing. If you can’t see that by now, then you have not been paying attention.

Post ID: @egrz+1uzNveYR What you as a "Manager", MD or Director are saying is that you are confirming All employees' assumptions and beliefs that the Bull$hit VOEs are used by Citi, MDs and Directors to exercise thinly veiled retaliation in the form of and ostensibly under the guise of Layoffs because you said the Svcker who wrote VOE comments/complaints about compensation using the same phraseology he used during discussions was identified by the MDs as having written those VOE comments/complaints and was subsequently "Laidoff".
These are some of the reasons why www.thelayoff.com exists. Employees do Not trust the VOEs and are Not honest on the VOEs which makes the VOEs a complete waste of time and money, the only thing Citi knows how to to do well....waste Shareholders' time and money. Employees air out their complaints, grievances, frustrations and even anger on www.thelayoff.com and all of Citi's Dirty Laundry of which Citi has Megatons. Else we'll just be labeled as troublemakers, Debbie Downers, Complainers, and/or end up on the Layoff Guillotine List. by Anonymous Post ID: @evsq+1uzNveYR
At the very least Citi's Dirty Laundry is aired out in a public forum, www.thelayoff.com for all the world and Regulators to see, as well as Job Applicants/Svckers who will think twice if not 3x before applying for jobs in Citi or accepting a Citi job offer. ROTFLMFAO!

All employees have an opportunity to voice their opinions through the VOE but everyone is afraid to do it so they come here to vent. Regardless of where it’s done, HR is useless, and changes will not happen. VOE is one of many corporate tasks for management to check off their list. It’s one of those ‘make employees feel empowered and feel better about themselves’ manipulative behaviors. It’s a pathetic attempt to get everyone on board without complaints.

If its true that Citi is in fact monitoring this site, then they either don’t believe some of the posts or they don’t care. I can say that, as nothing has ever changed as a result of what is posted here.

Nnnaaahhh Doubt Citi or Citi HR checks this site. That's asking too much of B-a!n De@d Dense Potemkin Village of !d!ots who have the intellect of a D0d0 Bird, which are extinct like the dinosaurs.

I thought I was just unlucky or maybe just my location but after talking to my co-workers in other regions, its seems as if HR is globally useless at this company. Other than taking up space what good are they. I guess Citi needs an actual face to deliver a smug grin when they deliver the layoff news to employees they are letting go.

If Citi does monitor this site, the fact that they know there more than just a hint of truth to these posts and the fact that nothing changes, tells you all that you need to know about how much they truly care.
