Thread regarding Cox Communications layoffs

Layoffs

The layoffs aren’t following their own internal timeline. Full transparency for the new organizational design was due on 10-4 to be posted. Only 1 EVP posted on the due date. 1 other EVP posted today. The other 4 EVPs haven’t posted the new org design. So employee’s can’t make an informed decision to take the severance package being offered when they’re missing vital and crucial information.

Does anyone have the new deadline as to when we will be told if our applications are accepted? I was told first of Nov. So, does that mean literally Friday, Nov 1st or the next week, which is the first week of Nov?

Heard they are denying VSP applications. More people applied than expected.

Layoffs are going to exceed 10% of total staff. Huge back office reductions, support personnel and AVPs, directors and Sr. Managers. This is the first of three hits to come, though the holidays and into 2025. SVPs already came out with new structures. Severance packages are not good. Comms are starting. Dark days for a company that was once a good place to work. Not anymore

From the jump it has been a total cluster. Contradictory statements regarding job dates, Involuntary Separation, the end goal, and the actual structures are once again exposing the C Suite as folks who are over their heads. In most cases if you were eligible, you had to apply. The threat of losing retirement medical and much smaller severance didn’t give folks much of a choice.
