Thread regarding Phillips 66 layoffs

The Borger Refinery Operations

The "leadership" of the Borger Refinery has arbitrarily decided to reduce the number of operators on a number of units out here. This is not a good idea because the coverage on most units is already very thin.
It seems they're inviting an adverse incident to occur out here.
I expect this kind of behavior out of the Ops Manager, but I thought the adults in the room would not allow these short-sighted decisions to be made. I was wrong.

P66 and the Borger Refinery are doing less with less.
Just like all the other companies.
We’re just doing a worse job of it because Transformation is dragging us to the very bottom.

This has already been done at other companies across the board. Do more with less is what everyone is doing unfortunately. P66 is just lagging its peers in this regard.

Already implemented at another large refinery. The stupidity is spreading. Reduce the people who actually do work..... seems smart.... they don't care.

Not a good move. I hope the “Incident” that occurs as a result doesn’t cause loss of life.
