Did you all see Michael dells AHOD today for in person people? he said hiring remote peopleduring covid was a mistake and he laughed and so did the audience. It was so deplorable. Dont bother with any 1x1s cause it's happening. And they joke about it callously and openly. Use them for skills, move on and never sell dell again at your next role if you get to work for a partner.
You work at Dell. It is only a matter of time. Prepare for it.
You can ask to have your career meeting. That being said, an observable change in either the level of communication or relationship with your manager is rarely a good sign.
my manager hasn't had any career meetings with me for three years. Some managers just can't do their jobs.
