Hearing this is coming back and all of Dell will be asked to RTO. Squeeze play.

No way this is happening. With severance, any unvested RSUs can be claimed if the severance is within 90 days of the vesting date. You really think they'll allow people to walk with their severance AND unvested RSUs? I don't think so.

No way. It would cost too much money. If you haven’t noticed, this company is about forcing you to quit for free as opposed to doing anything that would be good for the employees.

and you may need at least 10 years at Dell/EMC also

other than cobra for two months and rsu's vesting right away, doesn't sound much different than a layoff.

so you just can't take the VP. You may have to be 55 or over. It's not available to everyone one. How much of the company is over 55....just curious?

Too many people would take it. VSP will not be offered.

No one who is hanging out on this site should be criticizing someone else for doing the same thing. LOL.

2013 VSP and you're still hanging around this site....that is sad indeed. Sounds like perhaps you wish you didn't take it.

If some countries get 4 weeks plus 2 per year, capped at 2 years, wonder how much better an offer could be?

I took the 2013/14 VSP opportunity and life has been better since. The deal was 60 days pay, a week for every year of employment, 75% of my target bonus, restricted stock vested immediately, and two months of COBRA. For me it was about a year's pay and an easy choice. I heard that MD was surprised at how many took the VSP. I doubt that he would be as surprised this time. If it is offered give it serious consideration - you might have to leave for less later on.

Just give me a few months notice, vest my stock and I'm gone.

What does VSP stand for is it voluntary separation as in voluntary redundancy the last time this was offered in Dublin Ireland was 2014 it would be interesting to see if they would offered again
If employees are looked after the may choose to apply but at this stage it would be good to give people the genuine option.

i Don't want to be laid Off but I would so grab the VSP package for sure. Like everyone else says this seems more wishcasting than anything else. but it is a nice dream for sure.
