Home Depot software developers will soon be required to spend one full day each quarter working in a retail Home Depot store. This involves wearing the apron, interacting with real customers, and experiencing the complete in-store environment. I’m curious, how would you feel about this? Would it be a deal-breaker for you, or wouldn’t it matter?

And run the register for a day…then see what we and the customers have to deal with, and how people react.
I like it. Understand the business.
One day is not long enough. Put them out there for 2 weeks helping customers while downstocking, zoning, answering phones, doing cycle counts, covering other depts working 6 days in a row with 1 day off. Oh and do a clopening too boot.
