Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

NVIDIA will announce New CPU Chips at 2025 CES in January! Very Bad news for Intel.

It is only a rumor, but maybe a leak... who knows right now. If NVIDIA announces CPU chips at CES in January, Intel's fate is sealed, and it is NOT good at all. If DELL, HP, Super Micro and all the other Intel customers & distributors can purchase world class CPUs and GPUs and AI from NVIDIA, it is lights out (bankruptcy!) for Intel. Intel will be split up, and the most valuable part of Intel is the IP portfolio. Funny enough, Intel Legal will need help while everyone else will be looking for a new job.

Nvidia makes so much on graphics they can subsidize the cpu and give away for free.

As intel has a “do not resuscitate” sign hanging on its neck…. Still seams to be filled with snobs.

Once the world gets sick of paying Microsoft (Who think just like our executives at Intel) they will move from laptops to some (New Innovation) with a mobile chip and Intel is not in that game. So keep scrubbing your data on your big brick of a desktop and overheating laptops. We the people are waiting/looking for a better solution.

@tst, you must be an MT or some low level tech who focuses on email & YouTube at work. You've obviously never pulled & scrubbed any metro data (or any other data).

Wonderful idea you have there. Everyone knows their fabs are underutilized, they have extra capacity and the best thing to do with it is to make laptop chips instead of AI GPUs.

I use my IPhone for work. Outlook, teams everything. Sc--w your laptops old man!

Um. Reality check folks. Type "Intel" into an internet search. Intel CCG IS a low margin niche.

@pyh - Apple M-series is a tiny portion of overall Intel sales. Outside of Youtube influencer echo chambers, it has no real sales impact on Intel. Reflecting reality is not cockiness - Intel is not called Chipzilla for nothing.

Intel may leave lower margin niches in GPU or AI for the likes of AMD, NVDA et al. But Intel CCG rules the world...

Intel is the undisputed CPU King? Your delusional. M1/M2/M3/M4 Kicks Intel a-s.
We can't even compete in the market that we built anymore. Take you cocky (Were the best) Intel attitude and blow. I'd say prove it but its way too late for that.

What year did OP get fired from Intel? Layoff or HR related?

I guess OP is outside of the two companies. If you think Nvidia is announcing anything beyond the 5000 series GPUs you are delusional. Make up more vaporware in another forum.

NVIDIA has no track record of building CPU's... does anyone think they have the talent to actually design and field a CPU to go against Intel, the company that virtually invented the CPU?? Intel has always had the best CPU designers in the world.. no one would be foolish enough to directly challenge us. They might try in some niches like AI .. or mobile, but Intel is the undisputed CPU King.

Listen to the Intel big mouths keep talking while their company dissolves into irrelevance... If you (Intel employees) think that NVIDIA cannot make a CPU chip, you are delusional.

And I will still be buying laptops/servers/desktops with Intel inside and no nvidia.

You're obviously not involved in the process of making these systems. You don't even understand the business involved, so you're not at NVIDIA either. Pathetic.
