Thread regarding Amazon.com layoffs

The next wave of layoffs have already begun, and will continue through early 2025

There are simply far too many Managers with only 0-4 reports. Managers were also getting transferred to be under other Managers after silly reorgs that overcomplicate reporting. Each layer adds more meetings. And the level of incompetence of MANY Managers (especially the newbies) is astounding. Easier to keep Managers that have been there for 5+ years with incentives, prune the rest.
