Does anyone know if severance is supposed to start after your last day worked or separation date?
Mine started after last day worked which technically would be during WARN and that doesn’t seem right so it might be a mistake.

Your last day of employment is your exit date. Use that date for LinkedIn and your resume.
I think they pay your severance in lieu of WARN. That's why separation date is usually 3 months or more after your last day of work. That's how they claim employees got WARN notice. Last day of work in September, your still on payroll until December. That's your 90 day WARN.
You are still an active employee on WARN, whether you work or not. Severance does not reduce an employer’s liability and should not be used to offset WARN so the weeks of severance that you are entitled to under Paramounts policy should only start after the WARN period, not before.
