Thread regarding Raytheon Co. layoffs

Any major round of layoffs on the horizon?

I’m hoping to be laid off so I can walk out with severance. I have some better options potentially on the table, and I’m eager to leave. I understand that many of you need this job, and I feel for all of you. I just can’t stand this place anymore.

There are always layoffs around.

If you are barely doing your job, you will not get fired. But you could work yourself into a layoff.

Drive them to give you the severance. Work hard at doing nothing. Make a few mistakes.

A couple of critical missed deadlines would help you a lot too.

That severance can be worth a ton of dollars to you. Make sure you get it!

Sorry 8% of contractors eliminated - not half…

We laid off I guess half our contractors in interiors (related to BA strike apparently)

Stop showering and come to work with bad hygiene. Make sure you visit HR’s office often. When the next layoff comes, they’ll have you on top of the list.

Follow these steps:

  1. Make mistakes on purpose
  2. Get into a quiet quitting mode, get real lazy
  3. Question every bit of direction. Spend more time analyzing and asking for clarification than actually doing anything.
  4. Undermine your boss at every step.

You may walk away with a very large check!
