I was told a new round of layoffs will take place before the end of the year. My friend in O&T mentioned that once the remainder of responsibilities gets transferred away her team will most likely be dismissed. No further info was provided but for the sake of scope, the team is in the US with team members in two states. Have any of you heard anything similar to this?

Don’t believe anything your manager says. They will tell you everything is ok and you’re not at risk, ‘there’s plenty of work’. Your manager will stab you in the back in a heartbeat and say they knew nothing about you getting laid off. Work the least as possible, watch your back, and trust no one.
Risk is a hot mess...!

Big layoff expected in Belfast! Peter Holden will be one of the first to be laid off.
Both her team and mine are spread among those 3 regions. Some of us are hybrid and others are fully remote. Most of the bosses are in the Northeast and Midwest but the staff is scattered. If you are remote you are definitely at risk since they want everyone to report to a location and that's impossible for a lot of people

OP here! The group is in risk and controls, not technology. Her group and mine have been offshoring most of our work for months with the promise of new positions and new roles but it has been lies to keep all of us doing the job. No official day has been given. I’m hoping for the sake of her and my teammates we get laid off before Thanksgiving. I would rather spend the holidays without the added stress.

I previously posted that Citi's pattern of layoffs since Sept. 2022 (yes that's 2022 Not 2023( has been: Sept/Oct, then March/April. Please be aware that this includes 2-4 weeks non-working period where you still have access to Workday, Pay Stubs and other Citi systems/websites. After the non-working period where you're home, Citi cuts off access and then your severance begins for 2 or more months depending on your tenure and department.
For example, if you're told your last day in the office is March 31, you have until April 30 to access your Pay Stubs, etc. in Workday. Then Citi pays you severance until June 30 or how ever long your contract/agreement with Citi states which could be longer and past June 30.

I was also notified of layoff. Last working day is Oct 23rd. I am in Risk, I know of at least 4 other Risk friends who are coming with me out the door.

An appallingly protracted layoff period. Who does this over YEARS?! I can’t imagine there are many motivated people left, excluding the ones who have been promoted way beyond their ability to find similar work elsewhere.
Belfast will be going through layoffs before Christmas.
