Big Lots closing store in Jacksonville Beach

“Though the majority of our store locations are profitable, we intend to move forward with a more focused footprint to ensure that we operate efficiently and are best positioned to serve our customers,” Big Lots CEO Bruce Thorn said in a news release announcing the bankruptcy in September.

This person stating the closing of profitable store can’t say it better. In clear reality, this CEO of Big Lots a has no clue on running a business. You don’t close profitable stores, you close stores that yield NO profit. Yes.. what a crock. This CEO is an id--t. Sorry… but true. Good way to lose loyal customers.

What a crock. If the majority of the locations are profitable you don't declare bankruptcy. You focus on the stores that aren't profitable and develop a plan to make them proftable. Great leadership, NO!
