I quickly discovered there's a whole new world out there with proper benefits, much cheaper healthcare, and experienced, kind managers who put their employees first.
I was with Intel for three years and I now realize that every single one of them was wasted. I wish I had left sooner on my own, but I do thank Intel for getting me out of that mess. Remember this when the layoffs come knocking.
I honestly dont understand most of you all. Its a job. Its a job that pays well. Its a job that has great benifits. Maybe the perspective is different for different jobs. As a MT there no higher paying comparable gig. The competitors do not pay as much. Culture wise Its not terrible. Like I said. Its a job.
Why are you visiting this site several years after getting laid off ? Intel was much better then than today so you must have had a low performance LR. I don't think any experience is wasted experience. It's what you want to get out of your time and the fact you say 3 years was wasted time tells more about you than anything

Just remember not to bring Intel's culture to the new company that you are joining. Keep the environment Intel's toxic-free.

I left last year - I was in TD. Absolutely the most toxic environment I have ever been in. I have a great job with a manager who treats everyone with respect. Beaverton Oregon. So glad to be out.
Yes, I left Intel because of the toxic managements. The outside world is more friendly without the Intel style of cheating and ‘artificial’ rules and politics which hinder progress. My last two managers do not even know any technical stuff. They cancel good projects, and cheated to Ann that they did AI everywhere. They even faked demo to CEO for AI everywhere. Very funny and stupid managers.
