at MR in Waukesha... recently lost approximately 95% of our contractors, I think they were essential... there roles allow engineers to focus on design tasks.

People across the WSO campus are whispering layoffs in side conversations. The air just feels bad.
Leadership is meeting next week in Chicago. Layoffs are coming quickly. GEHC should offer early retirement packages, but I doubt they will. What isn’t clear is when the layoffs occur, what is the severance package? Used to be two weeks pay for every year of service.
They like to get new people in place after the older people figure out they are numbskulls.
When will the so called leadership realize they can not compensate their lack of "leadership" by reducing forces? Competitors are investing in R&D, GE believe they can counterbalance this with firing talents.
Leadership is worried about their next meal. Take my word for it. I am one of them Good luck
