Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

What’s the plan here???

Is there one? Or is it anything to avoid a buyout? Or just get rid of Tenured employees? Not much left to sell and too broke to acquire. Why are we staying?? Another round of layoffs?

JC proclaimed Chester as the greatest reservoir engineer he's ever seen. Any chance I can join the APA group and work with him?

Apache would sell just APA Suriname. CVX won’t buy the rest of APA

Apa is the backup plan if Hess falls through for CVX

Chevron is going to get huge reserves in Guyana because of Hess acquisition… not sure Apa is attractive to them. Maybe selling things to prepare to pay for Hess. Guyana has 11 billions of oil reserves. So far Suriname only 700K, not even 10%.

Chevron just made a $6.5 billion dollar sale … maybe they want to but something in South America?

Staying because it’s a job, like all the others. Most oil companies at some point buy and sell leases, just part of the game unfortunately. M&Ms with your coworkers, and remember you’re just there to produce for the company, same as all the others, this one is no different!
