Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Remember this fool?

@1wvu+1iVq12RD boldly said that equipment can be moved out of Taiwan if it gets invaded.

Be scared. That id--t walks among Intel employees.

@das+1uPvMlkd he was clear. In fact, he wrote:

If Taiwan was invaded, all equipment and investment would shift to Korea

He is saying two things will be true in Taiwan gets invaded: 1. New investment will be made in Korea (and hence, new machines), 2. Existing equipment will be moved.

Saying "equipment" and trying to mean "new equipment" is redundant when he also mentions investment (which is obviously for new machines).

Unless you are alleging that he is illiterate, he really wrote that existing machines will be moved.

@hva
I do not trust you. China will try to take Taiwan someday as long as the CCP remains in power.

Trust me. China mainland won’t invade Taiwan. It will only reunite without force someday.

After that, chips will be like radio or TV. You can buy it cheap and won’t have supply shortage issue. It’s better for average consumer

I’m not that guy but I think he meant to say that investment dollars would move to South Korea and new equipment would go there.

Why wouldn’t it?
Samsung is #2

Intel is #100 when it comes to foundry.
