The entire work and student visa system in USA is broken. Many on H1B get to keep their jobs cause companies know it's a stressful even for H1Bs to lose their jobs after being settled in USA for so long, hence they tend to let go the US Citizen who has years of experience and is now over 50 years old.

Children born raised and educated in this country are doing a LOTTTTT more in terms of what is needed to get into college: AP Courses, Summer jobs/projects, insane volunteering, dual enrollment courses through community colleges or online resources, exrta-curricular accomplishments, school or community clubs, SAT, etc etc. The MADNESS expected from the children is just sky-rocketing.

The Universities appear to not have any SHAME
And yet - it is a breeze if the student is DREAM Act, illegal immigrant, financial aid qualified.

Compare international students versus the smart homegrown students - the homegrown USA born kids again end up doing a lot more. The bar to college admission is not comparable at all.

It is LONG overdue for companies to realize that they owe something to the children raised here. There are not that many jobs as they once existed. SHAME on the education system as well as companies.

Long overdue for companies to stop the internal L1 Visa or job rotation programs too.
