Is that true that WFR payout would take up to a month? I was expecting to receive my entire money the Friday that I'm living?

Once you sign it, I'm hearing one month from a few who have been let go.
yes last day was Sept 20. signed severance docs immediately and have been told severance payment will be oct 11. in texas. we will see on the 11th.
I signed my severance agreement immediately upon receipt (the Monday following my WFR). They said that I'd receive the payout in a lump sum via direct deposit on October 4th. Thus far, haven't received anything yet.
It usually takes a month from the day you sign. They don't even send the paperwork until a week after your termination date.
I believe the payout date is based on the state you're in. I know MN gives you 30 days to change your mind and thus check will be held for 30 days. There was a doc that covers that hold time with the paperwork.
I had a couple of buddies that went through a layoff. It took both of them about a month to get severance.
I was blindsided and was laid off February 2nd, 2024. Didn’t receive my severance until March 1. I struggled for a few weeks with nothing coming in until I was paid. I still haven’t found a job. I don’t wish this upon anyone.

I really hope you are living on a Friday in a month.
You have to sign off on your severance agreement first. How long that takes is up to you. It takes about a week to receive your severance agreement after your last day.
Once they receive a signed agreement (at least in my case) I received the payout the next normally scheduled payday.
My last day was August 9th. I received my payout on August 30th.
