Thread regarding Optum layoffs

I stopped caring about layoffs

I’ve been so anxious and stressed about the possibility of being laid off during one of the many rounds. That on top of my job being stressful enough. At one point I realized I have been literally destroying my health. From then on, I’ve learned quite well to distance myself from worry around the work. I started to ignore anything not major around the team and not impacting my corner of the responsibilities. I absolutely do not care if I’ll be laid off or not. I do the ritual of once a week committing to the job search. Being aware that there are always other options really helps. Sc--w this or any other company - I will not let them ruin my life.

I would love to get a Lay Off...
How can I make that happen?

@okv+1uOswyZK Good advice, but specifically put it into a HYSA or treasury bonds. Savings accounts at companies like Wells Fargo / BoA have ludicrously awful interest rates and you can 10x that with HYSA/bonds.

it's also a good habit to start saving 10% of your net income. just throw it in a savings account for a rainy day. "into every life, a little rain must fall."
