So … I’m on the cusp of ISP after nearly 30 years. I feel i’ve done a lot , have certainly seen a lot in my career here. Yes , there are a lot of issues ,many questionable leaders , strategies and people …. BUT in the vast majority, and I say that having done assignments around the world ; the people are talented, committed and want to contribute. The culture has eroded into something I don’t like , and it’s causing the failures you are witnessing - but don’t hate on the majority of employees who are leaving … it’s not fair or reasonable. I’m personally gutted that I’ll be leaving soon - I will get paid , and have other things lined up, so not an issue - BUT I’d rather stay and be part of the solution… sadly I won’t get that opportunity I suspect due to the algorithm being used to axe people - it’s sad , but I’m not bitter - I wish Intel, the execs and even HR all the best … and certainly for the people leaving good luck, ignore the haters …

@1zbm, so this is going to be like the movie "Fun with Di-k and Jane"?
I am witnessing the best and brightest leaving ..it is smart because there are ONLY so many outside jobs available. The bottom line to the OP....The brain drain is IRREVERSEABLE. The damage cannot be UNDONE. THERE IS NO RECOVERY.
Crime will go up in local areas around sites
@pdo... LTD getting over its self importance would go a long way to improving Intel. Let's face it, you are the guys who gave away an over 2 year lead in process technology between 2016 and 2018. The company has struggled ever since. Few groups have done as much damage to Intel as LTD but you still continue to be arrogant a$$es.
: @1rwt - algo is (best guess) …. If group headcount reduction target was not hit with VSP/Retirement fill the gap with anyone working in ‘non core’ or ‘not business critical’ programs; roles that can be consolidated (FLMs , program managers, ) with lens on more senior / tenured and most expensive people. If you are on loss making product lines , or businesses not considered core or strategic , risk is increased also.
what is the algorithm you suspect?
Correction- we not it … we ruined the country’s bit
It will ruin the country (USA) a little bit and even the whole world a little bit. It's all around just sad. Beyond the personal impact to some individuals good chance myself included, it's just so sad what gross mismanagement has done to this once great company. I'm a lot sadder about the fate of Intel than the impact to me. The failure of Intel truly diminishes my opinion of humanity.
It will ruin lives. Some will turn to dr-gs and booze. Some will loose their homes. Many will loose their families. The children of those affected will also be affected. Once promising futures - future doctors and engineers etc now will turn into pr-------es and junkies working the corner. Many lives will never ever be the same starting on the 15th. God speed god bless and good luck to all those impacted
Where are these talented Intel employees? I never found them in leadership for sure. Maybe some co-workers were ok but that's it.
The execs and HR are criminals, huge compensation for what? DEI? And ki-ling the company?
@kvi I’ve not been formally notified , but have been told my program is being cut so we should expect to go
Ann needs to be fired. Dont know why she is still around.
How do you know that you are "on the cusp of ISP"? What does that even mean? Have you been notified?
So many issues with TD. Ann assigned non relevant people ATTD to manage LTD. This is a disaster. Who can tell Ann about this? To let her stop messing up TD.
