Last day of work v separation

So sorry to those impacted. Wishing you all the best of luck in your new roles!

Are we allowed to (hopefully) land a job
Prior to the actual separation date? Or can we start looking right after last day of work? When does equipment have to be returned - last day worked/ or separation date?

Forget that. Work two jobs for a bit and stack that cash if you can. Don't update LinkedIn and keep it hush until a bit past the last day of separation. Your chances of getting caught are soooo slim. Don't wait to start looking because the job market is not easy right now. If you get a job before your separation date consider yourself lucky.

I talked to HR about this today. As long as you start the new job after your last day of work (not your separation day), you're fine.

Start looking! How will they know? One of our contractors, I later found out, had a full time job. Look out for you. It’s a tough market out there
