Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

I’m finally quitting

I became too complacent, but also increasingly dissatisfied, frustrated, and anxious. Constant looming threat of layoffs didn’t help me feel any better. Yet I was somehow glued to this forsaken place. Scared of change, probably, and of possible disappointment if I get rejected from too many jobs. But I finally had a breakthrough, started slowly to look for other opportunities without placing too much pressure on myself and without some great expectations. And I landed a great offer! It took six months, but I don’t care if it took many more. Go out of your zone of comfort, which is usually just a zone of frustration, and you’ll get lucky sooner or later. Now I feel like I finally have a ton of bricks off my back.

I plan on leaving by end of the year as well because I can’t take it anymore and I refuse to slip back into depression and be on anxiety medication from a job. I never experienced anxiety before and never want to again and I feel it trying to come back. They want to overwork you and barely show appreciation. Well at least my boss doesn’t. As large as this company is, they don’t do much for the workers. We’re a company divided! I could go on and on but it’s now time for action and to leave fear in the wind.

I am hoping to be in your shoes soon. Can't take it anymore with changing expectations and zero reward for the work. Keep hoping it will get better but it just keeps getting worse. I plan to ramp up my job search and get out. Any job site suggestions or suggestions based on what finally worked for you to land a new job? Trying to be patient but it is super hard with how I'm treated and seeing others treated so poorly.

I quit 2 weeks ago and tomorrow is my last day. If I could describe this feeling with only one word, it would be RELIEVED. Good for you for daring to go somewhere new. Congratulations!

Good for you! It is not easy to find a new job but if you are patient, it will eventually pay off

I felt like you with a huge weight taken off my shoulders when I was finally able to leave.
