Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Does anyone have layoff details per organization

I think most know at this point that we have layoffs for October, November and a major one in Feb.. but does anyone have the actual percentage or teams that will be impacted? Many organizations have started to merge so it's expected that duplicate roles would be eliminated.

I'd say it is already hurting the business - our market share losses have "miraculously" coincided with the start of massive layoffs 1,5 years ago.

Who would've thought having less people leads to less sales leading to lower market share?

And the remaining sales have been handed such outrageously high quotas, many of them stopped even trying to meet them.

I’ll bet it’s a moving target. MD is issuing tweets about crisis. If people are being let go and leaving, there are no specifics. There is only a general idea of an end point. It’s anybody’s guess at this point. They’ve been getting rid of people for years now. Like all companies, they are trying to see how many people they can employ without it hurting business. This isn’t the good ole days of Y2K hiring.
