I can’t think of a worse way to deliver such news.
Reorgs wull come with layoffs since this reorg is merging product silos into “functional areas” and there is redundancy.

Revenue per employee may guide the final number. I suspect the target is around 1.5 million dollars per employee.
New quarter and new transition budget opened up. Someone keeps bringing up 7000. I think they are going with the Twitter 80% layoff and 20% remaining. 7000 is 20% of 35000. I think Hock is targeting for 10%. Thats what happened to VMC. So, each BU will be chopped one per quarter and ultimately it will be 10% of BU retained. They will hire HCL contractors if needed after that 90% cut. Standard operating procedure.
