if it's irrelevant why is it worth discussing? the date for the announcement seems cast in stone. carpe diem.
They can halt trading and cash out the shares on Friday. It being a Thursday doesn’t matter. It also could be a Tuesday or a Friday. It’s just irrelevant.
That is a Thursday so seems questionable. Don't think you can stop trading your stock before the acquisition is formally announced as complete, which supposedly is the 28th.
