Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

What is the current separation package for Round Rock Texas?

Just checking to see if anyone knows what the current separation package is for US/Texas. I have no way to know right now if I'll get hit by WFR but I like to plan for it just for safe measure and knowing what the payout will be is helpful.

I’ve heard enough about packages to know that each one is different. Age, seniority, position etc all contribute to different values.

2 months plus a week for every year? Where is this? Europe? I’d be curious about the origin.

It is salary after all; you should expect withholding as employment law; not something Dell is doing for the heck of it.

Unless you’re at VP level or above, you will kiss goodbye to your unvested RSU’s, sorry 😔

The last group to leave RR received two months plus a week for every year of tenure and a prorated 75% of IBP.
The generosity is breathtaking 🤬

I went to inside Dell and searched severance and did not find anything other than a story about theft where a person pending severance stole a bunch of pricing filed and documents and got busted and their severance cancelled.

It’s been capped at 6 months plus 70/75% of your bonus like the Previos post mentioned no matter how long your tenure is. I’m in RR and have seen the WFR contract from my co-worker that happened in August. I can’t speak for all level. This happened in Enginnering I8/I9 and 1 month of cobra with one week notice. His tenure was 26 years of service.

In you planning keep in mind that they will withhold a minimum of 22% for Federal Income tax. Maybe more, depending on what your normal tax bracket is.

And I had another 9% or so withheld for Social Security.

Expect to not get nearly 1/3 of whatever your total severance payout.

At one point it was 2 months pay plus a week for every year of service and 70/75% of your bonus. I think that's if you get WFR in Feb for the bonus %.
