Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Loss of talent

How much more loss of talent do you think Dell can take? For years we've been seeing the best people shown the door during cuts. Some leave on their own. So much experience and institutional knowledge is gone by now that I'm genuinely worried about the future of the company.

Saw one of the best leave before the firings came. She wasn’t even probably up for consideration to be part of the WFR, but the RTO was not sustainable for life balance. The entire team felt her absence and still do

It's very clear that they are targeting expensive headcount.

I’ve seen the best people get fired. I mean, the cream of the crop. No rhyme or reason. One person was so fantastic, I couldn’t believe it. I think it’s all about profit, revenue generation etc for any given individual in Sales. You find once they are gone, you get over it and adjust your perception with a lowered standard. In one instance, old guy let go and now you need four guys to piece things together. I think the pendulum has swung to far with the idea of less people.
