Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

URGENT: The Sky has Started To Fall for Juniper

HR has just sent an email to employees asking them to update their emergent contact info ( home address etc.) by November 1.

Normally, this request comes out in January of every year.

It's clear that Juniper is getting ready to send out termination packages. Employees are freaking out. Management will be swinging the axe shortly

It's so they can send you open enrollment info after your role is eliminated. Yup, they did that after the October 2023 round. Such a circus. HR can't get out of their own way.

You don't want your severance package going to your neighbors, do you?

HPE is on a fiscal year (Nov to Oct) so several things for Juniper have been shifted or accelerated to better align with this timing. This seems like it could be one of those even though we are not yet merged, we should in parallel be at the same stage.

| It’s probably to mail out the open enrollment papers.

there are clear signs of major blood letting.

suddenly there are meetings about "remaining in control of your career in uncertain times" and stuff like that... with external speakers like a guy that lost his ability to have an MLB career and it was "the best thing that happened" and such. it is not very subtle.

The really sad thing is that exec management seems to think these sessions are a generous act to prep employees, while the fact is it has managed to throughly destroy morale and motivation with just the last 2 weeks.

This is 100% due to the upcoming layoffs in Juniper. They are validating all those who have Cali addresses for the WARN Act. Get ready for a bloodletting! This is per a juniper HR source.

Agree. This is just routine. No one should be surprised about the sale. The layoffs? This is not related.

Nothing to freak out ! this is a normal process to keep employees information update while officially transfer has been inked for acquisition.

Yes, "Update Your Personal Information in My HR System" email went out today. With the HPE acquisition in the works it' good to see HR has this together. I'm not seeing anyone freaking out, anymore than usual, but there have to be some.

Or…they want to make sure they have your correct address for the transfer to HPE. Either way, it’s definitely happening.
