Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

We need to unionize

East coast dockworkers went on strike, they will be getting at least a 50% pay increase since the company already agreed to that. UPS drivers got a big increase so did the one of the train unions.
We get crumbs if anything. We get no cost of living adjustments even with inflation on basic neccesities well over 20%.
We need a union to get a fair pay rate and better working conditions in the stores. We can close lowes for business with a union until they pay. We will all be living in our cars or under the bridge if marvin has his way for much longer.

what about the ups layoffs after the union agreement? Unions will bankrupt this nation. Common people like me can't afford more inflation that it will be shoved on us to help pay for their salaries. Get ready ya'll, these greedy ignorant dockworkers destroyed us.

Lol.
You have no idea what you're saying.
You think staffing and employee quality is bad now?!
Hahahahahaha.
You'll never be able to get rid of bad employees. Your so called pay increase is a a delusion. Ever hear of union dues? And that's just one...pretty much another tax you'd have to pay.
The reality is you'll have lower pay.

Most Lowes employees walk around and really can be found if you are looking for help anyway. Then folks advise their peers to hide and do ask little as possible (read the posts).
It's retail folks, you want more money move up in the organization. You are not going to make north of 40l working in hardware and stocking items. If you were you would be 1 of 3 employees on the sales floor from open to close.

That's not the point. The union was offered a 50% increase among other concessions that the workers would never see if they were not in a union. The only reason they make what they do now is because of a union, otherwise they would be getting paid maybe slightly better then we are. The question is aren't we worth at least half as much as they are?

Yea and they TURNED IT DOWN. They are beyond greedy and their union boss is a freaking mobster. Longshoremen are some of the highest paid workers in this country.
You want a union? Then join one. I am not opposed to unions unless they are mandatory OR if they are posing a national security risk to this country through their actions. Otherwise knock yourself out being in one or forming one.

remember that this increase also includes benefits like insurance, etc so did the UPS drivers get a huge raise? Nope...just ask one next time they drop something off at your tent
