Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Are we done?

I know layoffs will most likely continue throughout the week, but I'm asking specifically about the teams that were already hit. If we lost people in this round, can we consider ourselves safe? We have an a--hole for a manager and he didn't tell us anything, so I'm hoping somebody here will know.

I haven't seen the WARN notices show up for any place where CVS corporate has a big presence (RI, CT, AZ, IL, TX). When those WARN notices are posted you can be reasonably sure it's done.

My team wasn’t given the all clear yet because there’s people on PTO that are more than likely being let go and they haven’t been told yet.

My manager said she was told all affected were notified Mon/Tue.. I know a lot of rumors says again in March but haven’t seen anything concrete around that. I know one person affected and their last day is 10/18

As a long time employee the norm is yearly layoffs right before the holidays ....as long as Karen is here this will continue

Reading between the lines of what our leader said, there is no guarantee that no other round will happen until Q3 of 2025. There is a real possibility of that happening in Q1 2025. It is not on the table or off the table. Just an option in the pocket. Even VP level folks are going WTF on what is happening at ELT / Board level.

My current manager (or his leadership) have yet to inform us of the layoffs last year and we lost someone last year in the second “whoops” wave.

The whole not acknowledging layoffs this round shows that leadership doesn’t lead.
