Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

It's rough out there

A friend just managed to land a new job, more than five months since he was laid off. He worked at Wells Fargo, but it's basically the same thing, the same industry. There are no good jobs available right now. None. He had to take a significant pay cut, but he couldn't put it off anymore. I've never been more scared about being laid off than I am now.

This HR plant is hilarious.

No it is not rough out there. It will only keep getting better as rates are decreased. Dont stay at this miserable place. Many have left and that will continue

Get away from the hypocrisy of Chris Ward/Chris Noe spewing back together BS, better together wth 3 now 4 day RTO while they hire their old buddies from Wells to work from home across the country and enforce RTO on the "peasants". The towhead in California takes the cake.

Dont waste your time, life is too short to be treated like sh-t by lying hypocrites

Took me 6 months, I would say that's about average. Have a 6 month savings and relax.

Exactly what we have been telling the whiners for months who have a Truist job and don’t want to do the job. Go somewhere else. You will discover exactly what the OP wrote about. Now go do your job.

Depends on the market. I got a good offer within a couple months of applying while still working this job — and I didn’t even have a referral.
Also rates are finally coming down now so bank openings are starting to open up.

yawn… let me know what the GoP’s plan is for you… Seriously-please explain rather then spew buzz words. You think big corporations are eager to give employees more money?

All I see from the GOP is commercials is stuff about prisoners having s-x changes which I’m sure is a major issues. Again-what’s the plan for the economy I am all ears.

See some care from a professional for your fears and take action to get yourself into a better job

You will be so much better off working someplace else so you won’t have to dwell on this site

Vote for more of the same tough economic environment for companies hiring. Vote for bigger larger government!!! Vote for more illegals taking jobs from working men and women. Vote for more taxes, government interventions and reasons for corporate layoffs.
The Big $$guys$$$ at the top of the Dem ticket need you to vote for this.

No question it’s a tough environment. Two thoughts for you: start looking now, and develop an expertise in ANYTHING that will give you an edge with prospective employers. When I’m hiring people I look for niche knowledge that will round out my team and make the whole team better. I obviously don’t know your job but if you can find a way to highlight a specific and unique skill set or expertise you bring, you’ll have a better chance. Good luck.
