Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Fu-k their severance

Tell them to take their severance and shove it. Walk right out and claim UI. No sense in letting them slavedrive you for 2 months. Don’t help them out. They will just ask for copious documentation and have very unrealistic expectations for you. Opt out.

Breathe. I was part of the June/July 2023 layoffs. I took that severance and landed a much better and higher paying job in August with sign on bonus. I’m happier than ever. Keep the $$$

UI is a fraction of your pay... This is d-mb. Also you still qualify for UI later after sev.

Take the severance, you can take unemployment once the severance runs out. Do both.

Based on last year if you’re a FTE in engineering you got 3 months severance, ended work immediately and got a bonus payout.

If It looks like that I say get as much money as you can from them. This forum is always about this anxiety riddled scorch earth stuff. Don’t leave money on the table.
