Thread regarding CVS layoffs

How is the layoff list prepared

Interesting (horrible) that some who are impacted are the heart of the Team, going above and beyond.

Anyone else’s manager tell them that they didn’t need to enter their skills, it wasn’t a big deal or necessary?

I was a csr for almost 4 years and knew the plan like the back of my hand and got let go. I had cancer last year which affected my job performance I’m sure but I didn’t my job and left with no issues. I’m sure the people asking questions every 5 minutes are still there. I did make a little more an hour for extra covid pay I got. But I’ll take their money the rest of the year

Copy your manager on every email, make a mountain out of every molehill. Be a Karen and stay visible if you want to survive the next round.

Surviving the corporate grind is easy, you just have to sell your soul.

The Bobs from the consultant firm look at your LinkedIn profile and those emails telling you to enter your skills.

Last year took some of the very best, this round took most of the remaining ones. My guess is the pp was right and those best at their jobs were making a lot more money so they were cut .

CVS a fortune company cannot pay top dollar for top talent. Sheesh.. No wonder the company is breeding mediocrity, no innovation, customers complain, margin tanks, insurance pricing su-ks. This company is doomed to the ground. Wait till next quarter earnings call. It is all downhill from here folks.

These names are terrible. All VP’s and ED’s must be fired! They are an embarrassment and this company will never recover with these clowns.

Politics are king. If you can get into a really good standing with your boss and skip you may be able to survive. Unfortunately high performers may have higher salaries, making them targets either way. Makes no sense but that’s corporate

CVS has done really d-mb things in the past, but today’s layoffs were ridiculous. The people that I have heard of were some of the past and current rising stars. They were great team members and very conscientious workers. Many of the people had been with the company for quite some time. Apparently loyalty gets you laid off. These are the folks that worked way more than 40 hours to get the job done. We are letting so much talent and knowledge walk out the door. Sad and disgusted.

All old politics on this sinking ship. If you keep your head down and work you are good. If you voice your opinion you are not. Survived this round but determined now to jump off asap

I would say areas were targeted and from there probably with as much consideration and thought as is put into choosing what power ball number will be pulled this week.
