Walgreens made a huge mistake bringing Tim and Neal on board. They don’t do anything but chat all day. Recently, they visited a few stores, took pictures with the employees to make it look like they care, and then they used company money to go to resorts, laughing about how they fooled us. Neal spends a ton of money partying with his friends, and because he’s the CEO’s buddy, he gets away with it. This kind of culture has taken root here.
For a company that's going through layoffs and isn't paying its employees properly, why should they go to a resort for strategic planning? And the worst part is, they don’t actually do anything there—they just drink and have fun! Meanwhile, we’re here working hard because we care about the company. But these two are just here for a good time. Our CEO was retired, and it seems like having fun was his main goal to take the job here.

Neal is total fake... zero substance.
Neal played a good game. Before even he joined, he spoke about the previous leadership, even though he had never met them, and advertised himself. He seems somewhat superficial to me, and I’ve never really liked him. He is fake! Walgreens never had a good CIO. He brought a retired person back to be a VP of pharmacy, which could be seen as a gesture of goodwill. However, after one and half years, there is still no clear plan for our pharmacy. Neal is fake!
They didn’t come to work, they came here to have fun and make money
Too bad Walgreens hired a guy who was jobless for 2 years to be its CIO.
The joke’s on you if you actually care about the company. Why would you? It’s a cr-ppy work environment and a paycheck, nothing more.
One of the most baffling things to me when I worked there was how people would only do work if it covered their a-s in some way, not if it was good work to do. I now see that they were being rational: they had been there a long time, so they knew the project would eventually get scrapped anyway so why bother?
The toilet paper analogy describes Walgreen's culture in general. Nothing new.
Maggie is his admin. They are closed friends.
Watch Neal! He is not a good leader.
Neal cares only about Neal......and his friends. Rest of us in IT are his toilet paper.......use and throw.
So what is Tim's goal then? Just make it look like he is doing something. What is the bigger plan then (to sell the company to a private equity firm?)
Who is Maggie?
No one respects them anymore!
Neal used Cristin, then he brought his Angie. This is his behavior always. Same thing he did with his admin, he used Sue, then he brought Maggie. He always uses people. Keep distance from him!
