Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Keep calm and carry on

Intel is climbing out of the bottom already. The future is bright. Just hang in there and do your best at work. There is nothing you can do about what you cannot control, so don't worry about it. Your best bet is to show your skills and work ethics. Your manager will appreciate that.

One of the huge problems at Intel is there are too many levels of management hierarchy, and most isn't doing any real work. Hopefully, they will let go at least 40% of them during ISP.

For those scared of starting your own business because you don't think you're smart enough, just remember that you cannot do worse than Pat no matter how hard you try.

The mass exodus of experience hasn’t even started. The effects of all of the people leaving won’t start to show until early next year. iSP won’t finish until Nov 15. Nothing will get done for the rest of this year. Products and process technology deliveries will start to slip in Q1. The bottom is still a long way down from here.

We will get right on that as soon as the executives show some skill and corporate ethics. -Go Fu-k Yourself.

Intel needs to move fast. Every time I've heard about a focus on efficiency or less meetings, the effort does not become a consistent action. It's like going on a diet and quitting after a month. Management is addicted to control of every aspect that it significantly slows progress or change.

The only way the company leadership is trying to move away from the abyss is by significant cost cutting. If they can build cost competitive high quantity high performance products then they will survive. Otherwise they will fall hard like Kodak IBM, Motorola and other American iconic corporations. Someone is already to print a book, The Great Fall of Intel.
