the way the sales team is being treated lately is a great example of why they need to have collective bargaining and stand up as one group. dell is going to keep pushing until some one else ends their life in a parking lot at rtp again..

To send the email, you wouldn't have to use your internal email. You could use a gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc... All you need is the team distro. Keep in mind, that the message will be tracked via IP address. But maybe to maintain anonymity, you could use a newly restored mobile, no sim (not connected to a telecom), using starbucks wifi and a VPN provider.
Make sure you corporate email is included in the distro to see if you get it. Don't CC or BCC yourself.
i would love to see some one send a mass e-mail to dell employees with union information... i think it would just be a matter of getting the list from a disto... creating a few false e-mail accounts and sending them out to people during the week. i would also get a laptop re image it and change your info on it so its not tracked.. maybe use a vpn to a foreign country when creating the e-mails and sending them...
Yep, definitely time for a union. Lets get representation. But not just sales professionals, we need all professional roles at Dell to buy in. Everybody who's not a manager needs to think about, sign up, and stand up against the hypocrisy being fed to us. This leadership team is not good for your mental health, your families well being, or your long term goals.
This current leadership team is so abusive. They lead by fear. They don't inspire, create, or motivate. Don't let them put the fear in you. Don't lose the time that you invested. The grass is not greener on the other side, and from what I hear, it's time to unionize the entire IT industry.
Do some research on unions and learn why they are beneficial. SIgn up. Spread the word with your colleagues. It's time to stand up.
That poor dude was Kirk Lawrence. I remembered reading it on snbc13 but that link appears to be blocked now.

This is second hand information but I recall some one at RR said the guy that took his life had some sort of sign saying he was too old to start again.
The poor gentlemen that ended his life in the parking lot was tragic. He was relatively older and probably was having financial issues. Make sure you start saving as much money as you can during these times. Don't believe the hype. Corporations are trying to outsource as much as they can.
its sad that this is really the only option.
Here is a union to join (someone posted this in the forum a few weeks ago) - https://www.ifpte.org/
They represent other big techs too.
completely agree. nothing is going to change if we dont do something different. dell is willing to sacrifice us all for the bottom line. we are just a number. other groups like ISG and support should Unionize as well
