I don’t think any layoffs are coming in Q4 or early next year and here’s why — other than the posts on this site, there have been no serious rumors around the office about impending layoffs and it’s common knowledge that layoffs take months of planning and we know executives and HR simply can’t keep a secret. This time last year, credible rumors were fast and furious and there was supporting evidence everywhere of the coming layoffs. None of that seems to be happening right now so I think the options are: 1) Executives & HR have figured out how to keep a secret (unlikely), 2) We (employees) are so defeated and beat down we no longer see the obvious signs around us (unlikely), 3) Stock is up and ELT decided to wait until late 2025 or 2026 (possible) or 4) Per a previous post on this thread , there won’t be any more layoffs and we’ll all get raises since our leaders saved the world (very funny). I think the best answer is #3 — probably not until late 2025 or 2026. What do you think?
my guess
with all the inefficiencies in the company it would not be cost efficient to delay the layoffs till February/spring 2025
My guess. There won't be anything till February at the earliest. The change in WFH is meant as a way to let people go without having to offer a severance. Several companies as GE stated (Google, etc.) are doing it. If he mentioned them, there's a reason. Once they have determined who won't comply, they'll see what those numbers look like and see if it aligns with what they need. They'll make up the difference in layoffs. It's coming, but I don't think till next year.

I love the sarcasm! 🤣
I heard that enbridge leaders have realized their issues and are now insourcing all outsourced work and are going on a hiring spree in November.
Also WFH is now going to 5 days a week.
Everyone is getting a 15 percent pay raise and they are cutting dividends to shareholders to pay for this well deserved pay raise. Execs are taking pay cuts as well to help promote wage and wealth generation of their valued employees.
On another note - the whizzes in engineering have figured out how to turn fossil fuels and pipeline projects into carbon sinks and have solved climate change and our execs are being hailed as revolutionary leaders.
There is no further layoffs because our leaders haves saved the world
Paint the calendar with predictions. If enough of you keep pounding away based on nothing, eventually one will be right.
Possible on either.
Way more possible spring 25.
Engridge giveth, and Enbridge taketh away.....
Will the last one left, please turn off the lights on your way out?
December?
How about neither?
