Oh that must have been a tough pill to swallow. Once a favorite to acquire ARM but now a target for takeover itself. All they could muster is rebuff hoping someone else could save us. But the next 2 years will be dire and these offers will keep coming back like circling vultures. What is happening is beyond unbelievable.

The whole semiconductor industry is laughing at Intel.
These bids are hilarious. 😂
They aren’t serious - just trolling.
@1upx it's not some international conspiracy. Occam's razor: just sh---y leadership, bad strategy, no long term vision, over adherence to comfort zone products and outdated metrics, too lumbersome to innovate and tying executive pay to Wall St.
I know several top intel engineers that left intel for AMD and NVIDIA.
They recognized years ago that intel was going down the drain.
Those acquisition rumors are too financial nonsense.
AMD, ARM, NVIDIA all staffed by people who couldn't get into Intel. How on earth could Intel rejects do spectacularly well? I wonder if there is a foreign hand in undermining this great American icon. Shady entities lurk and conspire against Intel.
Yea that had to sting. Like when you little brother finally beats you at something. I wonder if our leadership even has the self awareness to realize the implications and irony of their offer. Our leadership is so GOOD AT BUSINESS! Best business people in the biz! LOL
You don't even work for Intel.
Enjoy the luxury of rebuffing while you can.
Man the irony. Imagine being in that room when their offer came in. Ooouchhh
This has been a long time coming. The bottom just came off in the last two years or so, after every product that hit the market just su-ked. The rot goes very VERY deep, it's the core of this company's culture. I continue to encounter clueless a--holes at work, who still think Intel is the sh-t and we don't need to change anything nor do we need to adopt to anything new. All new ideas are either summarily shot down, or worse yet, put into development he-l by overloading the smart engineers with meaningless "data analysis" tasks to keep them busy.
It’s very believable given the true quality of employee at Intel. Unbelievable part is that we were able to mask and hide how terrible we really are for so long.
