Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Tell Dell

The cabal clearly don't listen to the feedback, and there is nothing we can do about it the dictators except leave to another Corp doing the same thing.

Tell Dell is the only voice that we have, our leaders won't speak up, they're just Dell bots obeying their masters for a chance to be part of the club one day.

If we survive the cull to the next Tell Dell, what makes the biggest impact, do we continue to give the same feedback and expect a different outcome, or collectively refused to participate in Ted Dell, denying them the data?

The best way to send the ELT a message with Tell Dell is to abstain from taking it. But as managers get to see who has completed the survey, I feel people won’t have the stomach to protest in this way. Pity.

Uber into the office and you can work during your commute. Problem solved.

All I know is that my target as an SE is now over 70M USD per annum, I've exceeded quota every half. They increased my quota 20% now, layed off TSRs and ISRs, broke the sales system. I work late hours already from home, as it's not terribly inconvenient I don't mind, as I accelerate and get paid by pushing harder.. Up until this last quota increase. I haven't been in the office in 4 years. I meet with most my customers virtually as they don't have time to waste with onsite visits, with exception to quarterly visits or large multi-team meetings. We don't have budget for gladhanding, anyways. We haven't had a team event in 2 years. Spending an hour in traffic going to an office with no bus service, with parking spaces for 1/10th of the number of people in the office is a non-starter. Not to mention the fact I cannot have a concall in peace with clients with the noise in the lowcube he-l . I'm now actively looking on linkedin for another gig. The only good thing going was the work-life balance, and now it's just a work-work balance with feel-good lording over people. This is not a meritocracy, this is stupidity. Almost as stupid as ki-ling SCV before Powerstore was ready and then crying about loss of midmarket storage.

A Marketing VP will find ways to transfer, trade, or put team members on the wfr list if you score him unfavorabley or speak the truth in anyway that doesn’t portray him as an awesome leader. Couple that with the fact that the leaders are afraid to talk about the real core issues that is pervasive across the company. It’s easy to blame bad scores on rto over the real truths that are rampant across the board.

Participation appears to be the most important aspect of Tell Dell, they can then skew the data how they please. Anything under 4 or 5 is excluded as a disgruntled employee, therfore the lowest you can score for it to count is 5 or 6 which falls in neutral.

Not taking part in the pantomime is the way to go. Let them explain that to their masters.

Precovid a sales team manager took the full team into a room and collectively completed Tell Dell to ensure it was positive.

That sales manager is now a senior director in 2024.

Most are not truthful in tell Dell for fear they will get in trouble. An old boss confronted me on feedback I gave because he could tell by my comments it was me. My response was if you ask for honesty I'll give it. He bitched on the team call that scores shouldn't be low. The following year he asked for all tops scores like it's a survey at a car dealership. Hope next year they get destroyed.

An error perceiving Tell Dell is to give us a voice. It's a feel good tool. They'll listen about like they did to the RTO survey; see y'all in the office.

Collectively refuse is the only real power. Tell Dell is absolute BS....their dodge tactics are comparing to all other tech companies treating employees the same $hity way so leadership don't have to take responsibility...blame the sector, f*** what employees really think is all they do year after year.
