Severance Timeframe

Once signing the paperwork, how long does it take to begin receiving severance?

I have seen previous Nielsen employees dealing with having to pay $1500 a month for insurance through cobra benefits after being laid off

I received Cobra paperwork but thought that my insurance would continue for 18 weeks; I’m confused.

they also lied to me my FSA would be active until the end of my severance. it wasn’t. it would only cover expenses from before my last employment date. I had a huge medical expense right after my technical last day and had a lot of money in my FSA to cover it and nope. fu-k nielsen. hr is a joke. they can’t even lay people off correctly. you’d think they’d be flawless by now. a--holes.

I had a small gap (1 week) because of some timing/payroll issue.
